Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly known as d banj was born on June 9, 1980, a singer, musician, songwriter, rapper, businessman and television personality in Nigeria. Dbanj has won a variety of music awards, including Best African Act awards at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007, Artist of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2009, Best International Act, Africa at the 2011 BET Awards, and Best Marketing. Dbanj adopted the stage name D’banj, his first name, Dapo and his surname Oyebanjo. D’banj recently became best known for hosting the August August “Oliver Twist”, a combination of Afrobeats dance and electronic dance music that won the African ranks in 2011 and was the top 10 in the UK drivers’ chart in 2012 reaching No. 2 in the UK &&B list of UK.
